As the areas leading photographer Pat feels "Your portrait should be a reflection of you, not of everyone else." Who you are and what is important to you is why at Pat Taylor Photography everyone is given the personal attention and the ability to provide input before we even begin your portrait session.
Pat Taylor developed his love of photography in high school providing pictures for the Elder High School yearbook. Instead of immediately beginning a career in photography Pat joined the U.S. Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman (medic) and served two tours in Vietnam. However, while in the service he had access to the most modern photo equipment the PX could offer and he spent many hours taking thousands of photos in every country his service time and ships took him. Early in 1971, he sold his very first photograph to TWA for use as a travel poster for Hawaii. Honorably discharged in 1971, he soon began talking pictures professionally and in 1972 opened Tru-Life Photography in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1973 he took on a partner who had many years of studio experience and moved to a larger location in Cincinnati. However, photography was still just a part time job for Pat as his medical training in the Navy allowed him to work as a physician's assistant for the Cincinnati Health Department. At its peak, Tru-Life Photography, with the assistance of two part time photographers, was photographing over 150 weddings annually and was one the foremost forces in the greater Cincinnati area. Pat was photographing a wedding the night that the Beverly Hills Super Club burned and volunteered his medical training and experience to assist the injured during this devastating tragedy which took more than 160 lives. In 1978, Pat was promoted and transferred by the Health Department to Eaton, Ohio where he served an eleven county area as a dairy farm inspector. That is when Pat Taylor Photography took on new life. His business continues to grow and he is the leading photographer in Preble County and surrounding areas. In 2000, Pat converted the studio and lab to a fully digital operation, one of the first in the country to do so. Since then, the level, type and quality of service from Pat Taylor Photography/Digital Imaging has expanded even further. As they continue to grow and expand, other companies have been added and PLT & Associates, LLC was created to encompass Pat Taylor Photography, Digital Color Lab, School Days Photography, PTP Sports Portraits, To The Point Advertising and the newest addition, First Impression Wear.
